Brenders' art enjoys international acclaim. He is widely collected in North
America, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Holland, Argentina and in his native
Belgium. Brenders combines his dreams, his senses, his imagination and his
strict attention to anatomical perfection to make his paintings. He says,
"Nature is already beautiful, already perfect. That is why I paint the way
I do with so much detail and so much realism - I want to capture that
perfection."

featuring 154 colour pictures and numerous black and white sketches,

written by Carl's colleague, Robert Bateman!
Carl Brenders love for all creatures,

that we can almost feel their textures. |

" Full
House - Fox Family " |
| "I
have been wanting to do a super fox painting for a long
time, and I thought a close-up of four young foxes was an
excellent idea and would make a very decorative painting.
You could say a painting full of foxes! I was inspired
by a photograph I had see of four young fennecs-desert foxes
with very large ears." ~ Carl

"What I tried to
capture in my painting is a moment of alertness for a cheetah on its way to
a water hole. Mother knows danger; the cubs don't. I tried to
show that the cubs wonder why their mother suddenly stops the walk. "
" I have been ten
inches away from the eyes of a tame cheetah female, I will never forget
those big orange eyes. This experience was the stimulus to start this
painting."

" Time Out - Grizzly Cub" |
|
"Among baby
animals, bear cubs are surely the funniest. They seem to be excited about
every little object they find on the ground. They can jump and roll like
crazy, just because of a little stick or a leaf they found. This can last
several minutes. Then they can settle down as if they are ready to sleep,
surprisingly jumping up again, looking for another exciting object,
sometimes sharing it with a brother or a sister. It is great to observe
young animals, which always remind me of playing children. "

These beautiful creatures will be found in zoos and seen in photos or in
paintings such as these."
