“I felt compelled to capture the innocent beauty of this young woman while on a trip in Mexico. Through the help of friends, who speak Spanish, I was able to request permission to photograph her. I found the dress and the shawl at a local market. These are the first two paintings that I created from the photo shoot of Avril.”
