This is Hammersmith Farms in Rhode Island. Strolling through the many beautiful gardens with the assorted variations of flowers, the estate was a delightful experience. The winds blowing the grass gently over the horse track pasture, as viewed from the huge but comfortable patio area, was a soothing and pleasant sensation, as well as a refreshing site. It was a natural for a painting – and so planning on a more humble scale, after the seed was planted, there eventually bloomed “Prairie Wind Flowers.”
