“This painting is from a memorable experience I had while on safari in Botswana. We were returning to camp form an evening game run and suddenly came upon an enormous herd of elephants. I was thrilled to be in the midst of these gentle giants. The sun was bathing the whole landscape in beautiful light as they quietly walked through the bush. I k new then, that I would eventually paint this scene that was etched in my mind.”
