My favorite bird is the Carolina Wren. I love their playful inquisitiveness and how they cheerfully hop all around our property and take up positions on their singing perches. Of course, baby Carolina Wrens are just too cute! We watched these fledglings leave the nest with their chattering parents doing their best to corral them all together to no avail. What a surprise to later discover the parents were not only successful at getting them together but had done so right next to our front porch door!
