Artwork Description

Widespread across the African continent, the Bateleur Eagle is typically found in wooded savannas, where it spends much of the day soaring over the ground in search of carrion and a wide range of bird and mammal prey. With its colorful, naked face, hood-like nape feathers, long wings and astonishingly short tail, it looks like no other bird. It For this portrait, I selected a point of view that shows off all of these unique physical features.
