Artwork Description
Birds are a constant source of inspiration for me and my art. Although I’ve only had brief encounters with these guys and their cheery elaborate songs they have left an indelible impression on my mind. The males unmistakable large silvery bill, vibrant cobalt blue plumage with chestnut and tan wing bars make it a very aesthetically handsome passerine to observe and capture on board. The green leaves and complimentary reddish brown colours on the wings also make it a pleasing contrast and most importantly, blue is my favourite colour.
