Artwork Description

“The Lesser Bird of Paradise (Paradisaea minor) is one of the best know members of its spectacular family. It is widely distributed throughout the lowlands of northern New Guinea and unlike most birds of paradise, it seems to thrive in degraded forests. The Green Tree Monitor (Varanus prasinus) is found throughout the island. It feeds on large insects, small arboreal vertebrates, bird eggs and some fruit.”
