Artwork Description
Halfway between Prince Rupert and Vancouver is the coastal community of Bella Bella. Across the bay is the Shearwater marina and boat yard. I had a day waiting here for a boat ride and used the time to paint this little watercolour. My ‘studio’ was two up-ended 45 gallon fuel drums and the highlight of the day was the conversations and stories from the numerous fishermen that wandered by to watch me paint.
