Artwork Description

“Although Robins winter on the east coast it really feels like Spring when I see them hunting for worms in my front yard. I loved painting the light on the bird and flowers and all of the different textures of rock, mosses and lichens! I paint with acrylics using worn out brushes and sponges to get the effects I’m after.”

– John Mullane

Spring Robin was selected to be part of the Leigh Yawkey Woodsen “Birds in Art” Show in September 2017. It travelled throughout the United States and was shown at various museums including the STERNBERG MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY the MUSEUM OF THE SHENANDOAH VALLEY.
