Seahorses usually are fantasy creatures. Often people think them much bigger than they are in reality. They are very hard to see in the wild as well, even in captivity as they are rather translucent and their colours blend into the environment. This painting was rather contemporary in nature, but I wanted to show how they are and the background tells the story of the sea.
