CREDENTIALS

Morten E. Solberg was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1935.   The artist attended the Cleveland Institute of Art. Solberg has been member of the National Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society, the Society Of Animal Artists – Master Artist, Knickerbocker Artists, Artist Guild of The San Diego Museum of Art, Board Member, Susan K. Black Foundation and the Society Of Master Impressionists Lifetime Master Member.

Among the many awards and honours the artists have received are the  National Museum Of Wildlife Art, Robert Kuhn Award 2009, 3 Awards from the American Watercolor Society, 1st Prize from the National Watercolor Society, six times Award recipient from the Society Of Animal Artists,  established as a “Master Artist” 2008 the Society Of Animal Artists, National Academy Of Design, U.S. Art Magazine Elected into the “Hall Of Fame”, California Bicentennial,  named a “Master Artist” by Wildlife Art Magazine, “Arts For The Parks” Grand Prize and Gold Medal in  2005 and Lifetime Master Membership in Society Of Master Impressionists 2007.

Over 110 Limited Editions of his works have been published. Morten Solberg’s art has appeared in six books including Caverns Of The Wild – 1999 Wildlife Art – 60 Contemporary Masters and Their Work – 2001.

His works can be found in several exhibits such Wildlife Experience Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum Of Art, Smithsonian, National Academy Of Design For The National Art Gallery, The Natural World Museum Of Environmental Art, The White House, American Artists Magazine, Colours Of South Africa Commission, National Park Academy Of The Arts and Marriott Corporation among others.

Morton Solberg was born in 1935 and passed away Jan 10, 2022 leaving a wonderful legacy of his beautiful art.
