“This original work was first titled “Brittle” in reference to the drooping limb I noticed while watching the quiet little male cardinal. I felt “March” was more consistent with the cold leafless scene. What I ended up trying to create was the cold breeze that you don’t see but can feel from the cardinal’s crooked puffed-up pose.”
