Artwork Description
Spotting new birds is a fun hobby for me. I encountered this Bullocks Oriole in Arizona perched in a Palo Verde tree. I like adding the gold background to many of my paintings as a way to both complement the subject but also elevate it to an icon as with medieval illuminations.
