This old house sits on a country road in a remote area not far from my home. I painted it from photos I took back in the mid 1980’s. It has been sitting empty through all these years and still stands, but now is on it’s last leg and almost beyond repair. I’ve often fantasized of the generations of families raised there during it’s hay days, probably back in the early 1900″s. Through the years I have painted the house and all of the barns on the property from many different angles and seasons. As a matter of fact, I just finished a sequel to this painting with another painting but of the back view of the house, titled “Around Back” of course.
