Pansies With Old Silver and Tin Can
“I make my home in a Victorian cottage in the old section of Denver, Colorado. Through the tall windows of my front parlor I see the browns and grays of the still dormant garden. There is just a hint of green and a bit of yellow and lavender in some early crocus blossoms. I tried to capture this feeling in the colors chosen for this painting, lots of colorlessness with a burst of yellow in the pansies. Very soon these pansies will be planted in my garden. They love the spring snow.”.
