“My painting was inspired by a hunting trip I did with my Falconer friends one beautiful Fall day. While we hiked through the rugged mountainside in Pennsylvania trying to stir up some game the hawk took off in a flash! She came crashing down on a nearby bush. We rushed over to find her mantling a rabbit. I tried to capture that very moment. It’s thrilling personal experiences like this that are the inspirations for all my paintings.”
