Artwork Description
The reference for this painting came from a trip to Jasper, AB several years ago. It was Autumn, my favourite season. A bit of a storm came up so we pulled over at Cottonwood Slough to wait it out. It wasn’t too long before the clouds rolled away and the sun came out. And what a sight to behold. The rain combined with the warm autumn day gave the middle to background a misty atmosphere. It was beautiful. I grabbed my camera and took quite a few pictures at this site. They provided me with lots of information and this painting is the end result.
