One spring I planted a swath of red clover along the forest edge of my rural property hoping to attract deer. Much to my delight it also attracted a large snow shoe hare in summer coat. As it became increasingly comfortable with my presence I spent many hours observing its habits. As I sat nearby it would sometimes nod off for afternoon naps in the middle of grooming sessions. Evenings were a favourite time as the glowing sunlight through its large ears emphasized the delicate tracings of its lifeblood.
